The Cincinnati Reds scored two runs in each of the third and fourth innings and then held off the St. Louis Cardinals for a 4-3 victory.  A great win for the Reds as the beat the Cardinals and picked up their twelfth win of the season.

Bronson Arroyo picked up his first win of the season as he pitched six innings and gave up three runs on six hits.  Arroyo did strikeout six batters and walked three.  Francisco Cordero picked up his fourth save of the season in the game.

Edwin Encarnacion went 2-4 in the game including two RBI.  Brandon Phillips and Adam Dunn both had on RBI as well.  The Reds had more chances to score runs, but they left 18 men on base.  They need to knock those runs in if they want to really make a run in the division.

The Cincinnati Reds got crushed by the Chicago Cubs on Wednesday night by the score of 12-2.  The Reds really had no shot in the game as they got down early and were not able to come back.  Carlos Zambrano pretty much shut the Reds down the entire game.

Starting pitcher Josh Fogg got hammered as he only lated two innings after giving up nine earned runs on seven hits.  Fogg was seen laughing on the mound after giving up runs, I don’t think he really cared out there to be honest.  He should put forward a better effort next time or keep that smile off his face.

Mike Lincoln, Kent Merker, and Francisco Cordero all gave up one run as well as they pitched in relief of Fogg.

Jeff Keppinger, Adam Dunn, and Joey Votto all had one RBI each for the Reds.  Dunn smoked a home run in the in the eigth inning for the Reds only big hit of the game.

The Reds will try to get back on track tomorrow afternoon when they take on the Cubs once again.

The Cincinnati Reds scored 10 runs from 6th inning through the 9th inning as they went onto beat the Milwaukee Brewers 12-4.  It was suprising to see the Reds score that many runs and only give up four runs to the might Brewers offense.  Especially when the Reds had a couple of bone headed defensive errors.

Adam Dunn led the offensive charge with a two-run home run and three RBI.  Corey Patterson also belted a two-run home run and finished with two RBI.  Jeff Keppinger also had two RBI’s on the game.  Ryan Freel, Ken Griffey, Jr. , Scott Hatteburg, and Jose Valentine all had one RBI.

Josh Fogg picked up the win for the Reds as he improved his record to 1-1 on the season.  Fogg only pitched five innings as he gave up four hits and a earned run, but it was enough to earn the victory.

Todd Coffey pitching in relief did allow a solo homerun to Bill Hall in the 9th inning.  Other then that, the Reds bullpen pitched pretty good.
