The first-place Cincinnati Reds have offered manager Dusty Baker a contract extension, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports. Baker confirmed to reporters that he received the offer but didn't provide specifics. “We just got the proposal a few days ago,” Baker said. “We’re still evaluating it.” He said he'll take some time before making a decision. “I’ve got to look at where we're going,” he said, “and what I want to do.” Baker is making $3.5 million this year in the final season of a three-year contract.
