The Cincinnati Reds placed catcher Ryan Hanigan on the disabled list with a fractured left thumb and reinstated infielder Paul Janish from the bereavement list Saturday. The Reds also purchased the contract of catcher Corky Miller from Triple-A Louisville and optioned infielder Drew Sutton to the Bats.
