Rookie flame thrower Johnny Cueto picked up his first major league win today as the Reds defeated the Diamondbacks 3-2.  Cueto used his 96 MPH fastball to hold to Diamondbacks down.  It was a great performance by the rookie, and hopefully the first of many wins to come.

The Reds got off to a fast start as they jumped out and scored all three of their runs in the first three innings.  Brandon Phillips and Jeff Keppinger had two RBI’s for the Reds, and the other one was unearned.

Great win for the Reds today.  We will have to see if it carries over into the next series against the Philadelphia Phillies.
