The Cincinnati Reds ended a long, losing 10-game road trip, and they were glad to return to Great American Ballpark. The fact that they were facing a team they have dominated the past few years, the Milwaukee Brewers, sparked some confidence into our struggling Cincinnati club.

The Milwaukee Brewers have the National League's best home winning percentage. They added to the NL's worst road winning percentage. Jay Bruce hit a three-run home run and Travis Wood turned in six mostly solid innings as the Cincinnati Reds rebounded from a disastrous road trip with a 7-3 win over Milwaukee on Monday night.

The Reds' longest road trip of the season ended with yet another loss. Jair Jurrjens outpitched Johnny Cueto, Martin Prado hit a two-run homer and the Atlanta Braves beat Cincinnati 2-1 on Sunday night, putting an end to the Reds' damaging road trip. The Reds lost two of three to the Braves, going 2-8 away from home.
