The Cincinnati Reds picked up a relief pitcher to help out of the bullpen in 2008.  Jeremy Affeldt and the Reds have agreed on a one year contract that will be worth $3 million dollars.  Pretty good deal for Affeldt, and I think the Reds over paid by around 1 million.  But you have to have some decent players in the bullpen if you want a chance to compete.

What do you think Reds fans? Do you like the Affeldt signing?

The Cincinnati Enquirer is reporting that the Reds and Josh Fogg along with his agent have had some talks recently about Fogg signing with the Cincinnati Reds.  Reports are saying that Fogg is looking for a two or three year deal around $5 million per season.

If you ask me, I think $5 million per season is way to expensive for Fogg.  Sure he is a veteran, but he only went 10-9 with the Colorado Rockies last season with a 4.94 ERA.  If the deal were more in the 2-2.5 million then it would be a lot better.  $5 million for Fogg is asking a lot on his part in my opinion.  What do you think?  Leave a comment and let your opinion be heard!
